Logo in Header and Footer too light

Hello,

I'm creating a template for our company letterhead. We've placed our logo in the header section, and our contact information in the footer. The problem is that Word seems to automatically lighten the graphics and text as soon as I deselect the header and footer and begin working on the body of the document. Is there a way to force Word to retain the original color and shading so that we can match our currently pre-printed corporate letterhead using a template?

This is how Word works. Since you have to do something special to get
into the Headers and Footers, it dims them when you aren't in view to
directly edit them. If they were left as the colour, you would try
editing them as normal, fail, and then be even more puzzled about this.

Print the document onto your pre-printed corporate letter head, or view
in print preview, to see how they look.

You're correct. When I printed the document it looked normal. Word just dims or lightens them while the document is open and I'm not actually editing the header or footer

My new quest is to find a way to specify the printer this template will go to. Any ideas on that

Unfortunately, although this feature has been requested repeatedly, it is
not possible to associate a specific printer with a document. It will always
be printed using the current default printer. You can add macros to change
the printer, then change it back, but this is usually more trouble than it
is worth.
