On one of my intranet sites, the windows user I have
setup as a FP2002 Author gets a logon prompt when
trying to "Edit with Microsoft Office FrontPage" from IE
or when trying to open the site in FrontPage.
He originally got prompted with the URL, but I had
him add his site as an intranet site in IE, and ensured
that he was automatically logging on only to intranet
sites in IE. After that, he gets prompted with a logon
to the webserver name!
I'm thinking that this could be a network latency issue.
He is trying to connect back to HQ from a remote network
location, and even browsing file shares from there is
somewhat slow.
Can network latency cause a logon prompt like this?
TIA,
