Hi, thanks for reading! I'm updating a database created in Access 2000 that
was then upgraded to 2003 and now I'm trying to open it in 2007. I converted
the mdb file to Access 2007. When I open the database there is a Logon Screen
and if I enter the User Name and Password the database opens however the
Office Button shows only one option (Close Database) and the Ribbon is
disabled except for certain functions on the "Home" and "Acrobat" tabs (can't
even see the other tabs).
If I hold down the shift key when I open the database the Login screen does
not appear and the Home Button and Ribbon are fully functional. However, If I
go in to User and Group Permissions I can see that I am logged in as "Admin"
and I do not have permission to "Open/Run."
How can I get permission to Open/Run? If I use my old login information I
can't do anything in the database except generate mailing lists, etc. But if
I bypass the Login screen with the shift key I can edit/design but I can't
actually Open and Run the database.
Any thoughts?
Thanks so much!
