When I send or receive an e-mail, the date displayed in the time and date
stamp (i.e., when the e-mail was sent) displays the date in the short date
format. When I reply to or forward an e-mail, the date displayed in the
e-mail that I am forwarding or replying is displayed in the long date format
(i.e., the date stamp in the original e-mail that I received that is copied
in my reply or forwarded e-mail, NOT the date of when I am replying to or
forwarding the e-mail).
Does anyone know why there is this inconsistency in the date formats? I do
not see an option anywhere to change this except how you define the long and
short date formats in the operating system.
