I am running Outlook 2003 on a Win XP SP2 laptop. I am experiencing long
delays - sometimes up to 60s - in opening the "Attach File" dialog box. I've
read in this forum that this problem can be caused by disconnected mapped
drives and possibly unknown network places. I don't have any mapped drives
but I do have network places that don't work for all locations where I work.
For example, I have a network place for my home network that is not reachable
when I'm in my office behind my company's firewall. I likewise have network
places at work that can't be seen when I'm on my home network. Is there any
way around this problem?
