Long delay in opening Build Team of MS Project Server 2003.

Whenever we do a Build Team from Tools>build team option.
it takes substantial amount of time. It takes literally 15 - 20 min
just to open the ERP.

on peak load, this time goes up to 30 min.

Would like to know if anything could be done to reduce this time.

Hi Amitmnagarwal,

Is this an issue only for you or for everyone in the organization?
Also, when you say you load ERP, do you load entire ERP or just filter
by any condition. What is the size of your ERP? Also do you access
Project Server from a remote location or on a poor connection?

A generic answer to reduce the time is to use filters while you pull
out the resources to build your project team. Mostly the RBS and
location field filters may help you.
