Long entries in text cells truncated ...

Hello, all ...

I'm working with a spreadsheet that includes a number of text cells that
each contain between 200 and 300 words (perhaps 1000 to 1500 characters).
I'm finding that only the first ten lines or so of text in these cells is
ever visible, both on-screen and in print preview ... the last few lines of
the cell's text always appear to be truncated (though the text remains in
the file itself, and can be edited).

Changing the size of the cell -- or the font size of the text -- changes the
apparent truncation point, but does not keep the overall entry from
appearing truncated. Making the size of the cell very large, for example,
just results in a truncated text entry, accompanied by lots and lots of
white space in the cell.

I've tried various alignment, sizing, and font options for the cells ... all
to no avail. The problem exists in at least the two most recent versions of
Excel for Windows, as well as Excel 2004 for Mac.

Any explanations/suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Many thanks.

Excel Help states that "a cell can contain 32,767 characters but only 1024
will be visible in the cell or can be printed."

If you set the cell to wrap-text and place some ALT + ENTERS after every few
hundred characters you can get some more characters in the cell.

Before you take Help or my suggestion literally you may find some
enlightenment regarding the limitations of text in a cell in this google
search result.
