Long Quit Time for Office 2004

After installing Office 2004, it takes approximately 1.5 minutes for
any of the Office applications to quit. I'm using a 933MHz PowerPC
G4, with 1.2GB of RAM and OS 10.2.8. I repaired permissions after
installation but this had no effect on the quit time. Any ideas or
help would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting. I had to force quit Word 2004 once; I never thought of waiting
for 90 seconds. On other occasions it quits practically
instantaneously. Go figure.

I wonder if it's looking for updates for each of the Office applications.
I'll try turning that feature off and see what happens.
