Long time for spreadsheet to open and close

I have a shared spreadsheet that is about 45 meg with some
basic formulas but it takes a long time to open and close
the spreadsheet. Any ideas on how I can speed this up.

Hi Mark!

Three suggestions:

Close Excel
Shut down and Re-start to ensure that all installations are complete
Delete all files from Windows/Temp or the equivalent on your operating
system.

Locate the xlb file used by your version of Excel (Search on *.xlb)
If it's over around 30KB it could be bloated
Move the xlb file to another location or rename xlb.old

Check that the file isn't too large because of a false used range.
