Long time saving documents

I have MS Word 2002. Everytime I intentionally save any
file, or when the autosave function is operating, it takes
from 30 - 60 seconds to save a file. During that time, the
computer hangs. Someone said that it might be related to
my McAfee virus protection program, but I can't find any
references to that in the knowledge base. Anyone have
similar problems that you were able to solve??

It could be. It could also be caused by journaling in Outlook. If you have
Outlook installed, even if you've never used it, journaling (keeping track
of every Word or Excel file opened and closed) could be enabled.
