Long Wait to Edit a File

Hi,

Everytime I launch MS Word and a Word Doc, it seem to take a while for it to
load before I can edit it.

This is getting extremely annoying whereas a PC version is instantly
editable once the file opens up.

A bit more information might help. Just one file misbehaving? Which
Word? Which Mac OS? How are your templates? How's your normal.dot?

I have had the same experience. Using Word X. It happens frequently
but not with every document. Seems to be prevalent with attached docs.
Microsoft advised to trash my "normal" template. That seemed to
help..for a while, but the problem has returned. Is there some other
preference file that should be trashed?

For me, it happens in almost all Word Doc. I'm currently using Word X on Mac
OS 10.2.6. Its definitely not the speed of my computer because I've 1Gb RAM
and a G4.

Anyway, it runs perfectly on Powerpoint and Excel. Just the Word is acting
up.
