looking at docs linked to tasks

When I click on a task in the web that has a document attachment icon,
it takes me to a list of documents that are associated with the task.
When I click on the document hyperlink, it only takes me to another
screen.
How do I dynamically open the document that is being shown as
connected to the task without going to the document library directly?

No, I believe the only way to open the document is to navigate to the
Document Library in the Project Workspace. Hope this helps.
