Looking for advice with enterprise global.

Any advice would be very welcomed :)

I want to change the heading for the column that displays the contents
of the [Work] field from the default of "Work" to "Planned Work" in
every view where it shows up.

Do I have to open each view where it shows up and then enter "Planned
Work" in the "Title:" box in the "Column Definition" dialog box?

Or is there some way to do this just once and have it effect all
enterprise views where this field shows up?

If so, would custom views built from copies of enterprise views also be
affected?

How about customs views not built from copies of enterprise views?

Because the Work field is a default field that ships with Microsoft Project
Professional, you cannot rename this column in the Enterprise Global file.
You can only rename custom enterprise fields and outline codes in the
Enterprise Global. If you want to change the Title for the Work field, you
cannot control that from the Enterprise Global either. You would need to
instruct every PM to do this manually in EVERY view that contains the Work
field, which would be a very labor intensive solution to your problem. My
advice is the simple path: make this a training issue with your PMs. Teach
them that the Work field shows planned work before actuals are entered on a
task, and shows actual work after actuals are entered. Hope this helps.

Steven:

One option you have is to rename an enterprise field and reference the work
field in the formula for your new Enterprise field. This will allow you
build views using the enterprise field in PWA and in Enterprise views
created in the Enterprise Global for your Project users.
