Looking for an explanation of the Registry settings in Word 2003

By default, Final, Comments, Ink Annotations, Insertions and Deletions, and
Formatting are checked under Show on the Review Toolbar.

I'm looking for a way to set the registry settings in Microsoft Office Word
2003 to change these defaults.

I know they are located in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Data

Because they are in binary format, I don't know which line/s to change and
what to change them to.

This key is not exposed or documented; you shouldn't try to be manipulating it
directly.

If you're in a corporate environment, you could probably change these defaults
using a policy. Ask in the Office.setup newsgroup.
