Looking for Help Index

Doesn't Office have a help index? I'm looking for the normal kind of help
we've always seen in Windows where you can go to the index and type in a
word to search the whole help file.

Some words have so many potential hits that the half dozen that show up in
the Office Assistant are worthless. How can I turn on the traditional help
tools?

Turn off/disable the Assistant. Then you get the "real Help" with an Index.
