Looking for Mac Office 2004 version of Microsoft Office Document Imaging (or other Mac TIF viewer)

All of our Office XP users on PC's use Microsoft Office Document Imaging
to open multi-page TIF documents. Is there a similar program included with
Office 2004 for Mac? We cannot use Quicktime to view TIF documents on the
Mac since it only displays the first page of the document. I already asked
the Microsoft Online Concierge and they were unable to find an answer to
this question.

It doesn't exist on the Mac. I would think the built-in Preview, comes
with OS X, should do fine to view Tiffs. If that doesn't work, can you
say more about what you need the program to do?

Hi,

Give GraphicConverter a try:

Like Diaya says, Preview should do it. It seems sometimes it does
something strange when saving JPGs, I've got some "invalid picture" in
browsers sometimes after saving JPG from Preview, but TIFF it seems to
do very well.

Do you know how I would configure Sarfari or Firefox to open TIFs with
the Preview program instead of the default Quicktime? I don't have access
to a Mac for another couple of days to attempt to figure it out myself.

It looks like the Preview function of OS 10.4 does support mult-page
TIF, the secret is to click on the drawer icon to open a pane on the right
side of the window showing the additional pages. I still wish that
Microsoft would make a Mac version of the Office Document Imaging for the
next version of Office.

I am also looking for a Microsoft Office Document Imaging counterpart
for Mac OS X, since we use it a lot at work on PCs.

Especially the "Print" function, to create TIFF output files, and the
light, quick and easy-to use interface as well as for viewing files
from the web-application we use at work.

If anyone could find something, it would be great.

Hi Sebastian,

did you know that you can create PDF files from within any native Mac OS X
application by clicking on the Save as PDF button in the lower left corner
of the Print dialogue? This might be a viable alternative to the TIFF output
you mention.
