Looking for more templates for Excel

Hi,

I confess, I'm not the best person to find things on the net but I've tried and tried and can't seem to find other templates for Excel -- I have found lots of junk sites, though. I also use Numbers and there are a few sites where people share their templates and I'm betting that Excel users have something similar or that Microsoft publishes more than that are included.

Does anyone have any information?

I'm specifically looking for a template to help me manage time. I tried making one myself, got frustrated, gave up and came here. (smile)

Thank you much,
WM

Have you explored these locations:

I'm not sure what kind of "time management" you actually mean, but if it's
along the lines of personal information management (scheduling appointments,
meetings & other activities} you may be looking in the wrong direction. Have
you explored Entourage for that purpose? Start here & explore the links:

Thank you Bob,

The first place i went looking was for that Template page you posted on Microsoft but I swear I couldn't find it. I kept ending up in the Download section.

What I'm looking to do is calculate the amount of time spend for a given task and connect any costs associated with it to see trends. The spreadsheet I started to make was coming along until I tried to multiple entries for each day and that's where I gave up.

Ideally, it would list the daily amount of time spent per task and calculate it per week or month to show variances. Does that make sense? I'm as American as you can get but I have none of the English in my vocabulary to say what I'm looking for.

If you can label what I'm thinking of I might be able to find it.

Cheers,
wm

Well, I gave you links for 2 separate sites where templates are available. I
don't know which of the 2 you "couldn't find" because the links are directly
to the respective web pages -- there isn't anything to "find". IOW, I wasn't
giving you links to any *specific* individual template files if that's what
you expected. I was simply pointing you in the right direction so you could
look around for something that might suit your needs. If you do see anything
you like then yes, it will have to be downloaded.

I think I have a general understanding of what you're trying to do, but not
being a consultant I don't consider myself qualified to *recommend* anything
specific. There are always multiple approaches to any project so the best
direction depends on a number of variables as well as subjective preference.

There are others who monitor the group & are eminently more qualified than I
to offer project-specific suggestions. Perhaps I can attract the attention
of one of them so check back periodically if you don't find something.

What I was meant to say was that I couldn't even find the templates pages that you (so easily) found. I really did spend a good bit of time looking for it on the Mircrosoft webpage, but found nothing.

Also, what I was trying to say is that I know what functions I want but I don't know what they're called, so I can't search for them. I'm looking for a formula or command that will

-- allow me to list multiple (but not fixed number of) entries for a day and calculate the time for that day, that week, that month, that year.

--let me chose from a drop down/pull down menu and add to it if I need to

--automatically select the date once I set the starting date.

If you do know someone who can help, that'd be great.

Cheers,
WM
