Looking for password retrieval software for Mac Word 2001

Hello,

I have been working on a project now for over 6 months. I have a word
document part of Mac Office 2001 that I put a password on, now I cannot
remember the password. Does anyone know of any password retrieval software
for this, I would really really appreciate it.


I see it is available for Win PC but not for Mac.

There are "legitimate" cracking services out there. Among them:

http://www.pwcrack.com/word.shtml

If your files are Word98 files or newer, they should be able to be
decrypted just like Word97 and newer WinWord files, since they have
identical formats. You may want to check with the vendor first if
the files are older than that, but the encryption prior to XL98 was
so trivial that I'd think they'd be able to work with them.

I've not used any of the above, so I can't personally vouch for
them, but I've heard from others that they've been successful.
