looking for preventive maintenance template

Hello,

I'm putting together a small preventative maintenance tracking database for
our company. We do Prevantative generator maintenance for our customers. It
so straightforward that somebody must have done something similar to this
already. I have found a few templates for internal PM, but not for external.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?

John, this kind of thing might not as simple and generic as you imagine.

For some types of equipment, maintence is due after xx days/months. For
others, after xx hours of operation. For others, it is the number of miles
travelled. For others, it is a combination of the above, with maintenance
due at the earliest of the combination. Some of those items involve some
fuzzy logic to predict when the item will be due for maintenance again,
based on past trends, possibly with manual override.

Then in some scenaios, there are major services, minor services, and levels
in between, with different periods/period types for different services or
even the items in the services. These services are sometimes hierarchical,
where a major includes some or all of the items in the minor ones, and so
on.

Your scenario may not involve all of those, but a generic maintenance
template is not simple.
