Lookout.ost

How do I fix this problem? File access is denied. You do not have the
permission required to access the file C:Documents and Settings\owner\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.ost.

when I click ok I get the following:

Unable to open your default e-mail folders. show help.

This error can occur if you attempt to run Outlook from a Terminal Server
session when the OST file is in use by the console session. To access this
instance of Outlook, exit the current Terminal Server session and start a new
session by using the following Run command (click Start, then click Run):
mstsc.exe /CONSOLE...I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS, INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE?

You must be an administrator on the computer that is accessing the console
session. You cannot access a console session running on Microsoft Windows
2000
Server or Microsoft Windows XP Home edition. But you can from a computer
running
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
For more information about using Outlook and Terminal Server, see Knowledge
Base
article 826488.

How do I resolve this problem? I tried repairing Office, but there is a
problem
with Windows Installer and a fatal error.

Any configuration details on this and a history on how you got to this
point?
Are you actually on a terminal server session and are you the admin of that
server?

Roady, I don't know how I got here, I don't know if I am on a terminal server

server...can you help me?

Don't you have an IT department which you can contact?
It's hard helping you from here without knowing any configuration details.

How do you login in the morning and which version of Outlook are you using?

Then I think you've configured Outlook for the wrong account type unless you
are using a Hosted Exchange service. Home users usually get a POP3 or IMAP
account from their ISP and Exchange is only used for business accounts.

If you do not know your account type and account settings, you should call
your ISP. Once you have that information go to Control Panel-> Mail to set
up a new mail profile with the correct information.
