Lookup table corruption. Only us?

Q

Quizzed again

I save a file from Project Server 2007 to the local desktop. I look at the
enterprise fields that had lookup tables and the values are correct while
still connected to MOPS.

I close project and relaunch project using Profile = "Computer". The custom
fields that had lookup tables now contain values from OTHER lookup tables and
not their own.

It is like the lookup tables got mixed up when the file was saved offline.
When I am connected to the server and open the offline file the values are
correct.

Here is the great part. I have 2 separate instances of MOPS that have this
problem. Each installation used different media, and were installed/configure
by different people. One is installed on hardware and one is a virtual
server. Both use SP2 and the Dec 09 CU. Both have SQL 2005 SP3 CU6.

The only commonality is that the desktop client SW was installed from the
same disk for all users. The clients all have SP2 and Dec 09 CU. Is it
possible that the desktop SW (MSP2007 Pro - no SP) was corrupted?

Is this only us? Anyone have this issue or thoughts on a solution?
I would appreciate any thoughts on this one.

Typically, similar issues are caused by caching problems. This may not be
the case, as you're opening offline, but I'd recommend clearing your cache
after saving the file to your desktop.

Also - why are you opening while connected to Computer? Wouldn't it be better
to open while working offline using the MOPS profile?

Tried clearing the cache.
The operational scenario involves delivering files to the customer. They are
not connected to MOPS nor are they using MSP2007 Pro.

When you save the files to the desktop, what options do you choose for saving
the enterprise fields?

Hi Ben. I have tested with both radial buttons referring to enterprise items.
I have tested with the file opened read-only.

As a company we have 3 totally separate installations of MOPS across the US
that are experiencing this issue.

Thoughts?

QA:

Are you certain that everyone is playing with at least SP2 on their clients?
If you eliminate caching issues, than this sounds like a bug fixed long ago.

Thanks Gary. Yes I am absolutely sure of the SP because I downloaded it and
distributed it. Also I disabled everyone's access until they sent me screen
shots of the version numbers (and that included Dec 09 CU).

Do you have data on the old issue that you can provide? I'd like to read the
KB or whatever is available. This is a serious problem for us so I appreciate
your help very much.
