Looping Movie Problem

Avi movies that were set to "Loop until stopped" work properly in a
Windows XP PowerPoint 2000 presentation where they were linked. When
this presentation is played on a PowerMac OS 9.2 (or even OS 10.2)
PowerPoint 2001, the movies play, but the looping feature no longer
works even though the Movie edit window shows that the "Loop until
stopped" checkbox is still checked. Any solutions to this?

If it helps in resolving this problem, I've also noticed that if the
avi movie is inserted into a PowerMac PowerPoint presentation, the image
displays the "movie film" icon; also, when the Movie Option is selected,
the dialog box shows a value for the Total Playing Time. However, when
the same avi movie is inserted into a PC PowerPoint, the image does not
show the "movie film" icon and the Total Playing Time is always
displayed as :00:00.
