Loose formatting on paste

I am using HTML e-mail. I can format it.
But when I have a web page with nice formatting and copy the material and paste it into Entourage to send it, much of the formatting is gone. I don't get the type style or tables.
It doesn't seem to be the browser as Opera, FireFox and Safari behave pretty much the same, though Safari is a little better.
Again, I come from 8 or so years of "living" in MS Outlook. This was never a problem.
How can I get Entourage to accept pasting of WYSIWYG material from a web page?

Entourage's HTML layout capabilities are extremely limited. Best to forward
URLs for pages. Use the handy scripts to insert a URL into a message.

Insert Safari URL script. (available for Firefox and OmniWeb)

See this page for workaround to send complex HTML with Entourage.

Thank you. But now you can see how really ignorant I am. I'm obviously missing something that is so basic no one has even bothered to mention it.

I tried two scripts. I downloaded "HTML2004.sit" and "insert_safari_urls.sit" which I thought were compressed files of some sort. But when I open them, Word starts, but nothing happens. Am I missing a program to handle "sit" files?

..sit files should be handled by StuffIt Expander. I thought it came
installed on OS X, but I've had it so long, I may be mistaken.
You can download StuffIt Expander for free from

If the wrong application opens a file, you can change it using the Get Info
window.

Select the correct application to open, then select "Change all" to apply to
all future files.

Double clicking a .sit file should cause it to open.

Allume StuffIt Expander doesn't come with Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

However, Mac OS X 10.4 and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or later let you compress
and decompress archive (.zip) files that work with both Mac OS X and
Microsoft Windows.

If you'd like to use StuffIt Expander too, for example, to open .sit or
..sitx compressed files, you can download it from the Allume Systems website.
