Loosing objects in a slide presentation

When working with a very large presentation close to 5%
of the objects embedded in the slide show up as red X's
when the file size exceeds 25Mb. The objects can be
anything; tables, graphics, etc. I am using office 2000
sr1 on a windows 2000 OS. Any ideas if this is a
limitation of the product or any ideas for a resolution?

In my experience this is a resource problem (i.e., the
large objects are eating up RAM). Try rebooting to get
resources back. Play this prz on a computer with more
memory.
