Loosing rounded numbers from PC Excel to Mac Excel

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel

When I open a PC file that has conditional rounding with three significant figures, on the Mac it shows the numbers all rounded to the nearest one (with no decimals). The PC file has "set precision as displayed" checked.

e.g. 2.61 appears as 3
