lose the formatting?

I have Office 2002 and Word is just as great as ever.
However, one thing that has always plagued me concerns
the following:

When you format text on one line (for example Bold and
Underline) and then hit *Enter*, the formatting
is "remembered" for the subsequent line. Is there any way
to disable or "hotkey" this out? In other words, I want
no formatting for the subsequent line(s).

Thanks for any help or clarification!

I guess I answered my own question. The following hotkey combo will
remove formatting. I just have to make sure that the insertion point
is the next line (where I want to "reset" the formatting). In other
words, this combo can be applied to formatted text to remove the
current formatting.
THE HOTKEY Ctrl-Shift-N

Bless you! I've been using Word for over eight years and never lucked upon
that one...

Thanks for mentioning this! For some inexplicable reason, it is denoted in
the Help section on Keyboard shortcuts as "Demote to body text": one of the
more enlightening explanations! Some peoples' minds just don't work the same
way as mine (g).

Thanks very much. I'm glad someone else can use the tip. As far my
situation, my productivity has already increased!
