Losing Conditional Formatting

I am creating Infopath Forms (sp-1) and VB.NET code.

Everytime I re-open the form to do more development, it loses the
conditional formatting I have previously set. Even if I simply open the
form in design mode without making any changes, the conditional formatting is
lost and must be re-entered. The published form retains the conditional
formatting, but as soon as I open it in dev mode it's gone.

Is there any work around or is this a bug I am stuck with until the next
release?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Re-entering the conditional formatting will
be very time consuming for any future modifications (I will need to do it for
40+ forms)

Thanks - I tried to look for any answers, but must have missed it. I'll give
it a try.
