Losing emails with entourage synced to an I-phone

I use my I-phone to synce with my entourage mail using the exchange server. I notce that occasionally e-mail messages show up on my i-phone while I am away from my Mac Book Pro, but once I satart up entourage on my computer the meesage disappear from both my i-phone and my inbox. I have stop syncing e-mails using the i-phone control panel. The entourage calendar sync is active and works great with the i-phone. Any ideas on how to fix this?
