Losing printing setup on reopening documents

I have Windows XP Pro. I have used Publisher for many years. But just this
week upgraded to Publisher 2007. I have some landscaped, two sided documents
that I am working on. Everytime I get ready to print, the printing setup has
to be changed to landscape and the duplex option chosen again. I thought by
clicking "print to file" it would fix the problem and save the document like
I want it to print. But it doesn't work for the documents that are turned
landscape.

Also, I don't understand why I am having two screens open when I print. In
the old Publisher only my printer screen would open. Now, a Publisher screen
opens and then I have to open my printer screen for other options. Is there
a way to stop that first screen from opening? It doesn't happen in Word.

I don't want to have to change all this setup stuff every single time I want
to print. I've tried everything that I know of to make it save.

I cannot duplicate this. If I create a brochure, select print setup in the file
menu; do the settings and then save the publication, it is correct when I reopen
the document.

Are you using a template? Sometimes the templates work better, especially if you
are working on a project from an earlier version of Publisher.

New, brochure, delete all the objects, copy and paste the objects from your
created brochure.

Thank you, Mary,

I had already thought of that and did it. However, I did it again just to
be sure. It's fine when I open the document for the first time after saving
it. But on the second and all other times, whether I have saved with or
without the "print to file" option, it always reverts back to a portrait
document and shows up as "tiled". My printer options are fine. They stay
the same. It's that front Publisher screen that is messing up. Why do we
have to have that? What is the purpose for it and is there an option to make
it stop coming up? My printer is a large, "fancy" for lack of a better word,
color, duplexing office printer. I don't need Publisher to control it.
