Losing Text in TIP

Well, it's been two weeks of using ON on a daily basis. Problem first
started with when I would clik insert I'd lose the first couple of lines.
I'd then have to reenter those lines. Really started to slow things down.
If I wasn't paying close attention, I'd notice only at the end of the day
when reviewing my notes. Then on Friday, I started losing the entire entries
in TIP. After clikking insert, TIP would disappear and the text would not
have been entered. I finally had to use pen and paper. I was losing too
much info. Any suggestions?

Elly, we try to solve Tablet PC issues in the
microsoft.public.windows.tabletpc newsgroup. Are you seeing the same
behavior in other programs, such as Windows Journal? Without knowing which
Tablet PC you're running (Windows XP SP2 and the Tablet PC Edition 2005?),
my first guess would be to ask whether you've installed the "memory leak"
fix from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...54-14e3-408e-8c63-0a382e8d9239&DisplayLang=en .
If you already have, or haven't and would you report the results in the
other newsgroup, please? The OneNote program is supported here.

Thanks for your response. I'm using Windows XP PC Tablet Edition Service PK
2. Also, the problem is limited to One Note so I thought I'd post here. Will
download memory leak and see if that works...

 The other possibility was that the issue was more wide-spread, which is
why I offered the other newsgroup if you had other issues. Try going to
opening OneNote and going to Help/Detect and Repair... and see if that takes
care of the problem (once you're downloaded and install the memory leak
fix).

Is there a reason why you're using the TIP in OneNote? OneNote can accept
Ink directly without needing the TIP.

Good question. I find selecting text not so straightforward in One Note. I
find it easier in Windows Journal. I also find TIP keeps my handwriting more
consistent. I will try working with ink. thanks for your suggestions.
