Loss of dynamic guides

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Hi - I noticed that the dynamic guides in my Powerpoint can no longer be turned on recently. Whether or not the function is checked, the guides are not shown. It was working perfectly before. I am not sure if this has something to do with my recent upgrade of OS to Snowleopard. Your comments will be appreciated.

Hello,

I noticed that the dynamic guides in my Powerpoint can no longer be turned on
recently. Whether or not the function is checked, the guides are not shown. It

When you have Dynamic Guides on, be sure to also have the
View - Guides - Snap to Shape feature on as well. Otherwise,
PowerPoint will not snap the currently select shape to anything.
This might be what's causing your problem.

It could be... Especially if you haven't fully updated to 10.6.1 and/or have
not included the SP2 (12.2.0) & 12.2.1 updates to Office in your updating.

Their appearance can also vary depending on what other shapes are on the
slide as well as the "Snap to" features Jeff mentioned.
