Loss of e-mail and recovery with Time Machine??

Processor: Intel

I lost everything today, my e-mails, folders, addresses, etc. Entourage has been wiped clean. However, I have a Time Capule with Time Machine.

I travelled into yesterday and I can only find Entourage in the Applications folder. When I restore it, I get a new blank version of Entourage.

Where do I find the 'real' Entourage folders that have my e-mails, folders, attachments, etc. ?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

PS

This Entourage seems rather fragile. I did not open or tinker with any files in the program. My Entourage froze after I opened a doc attachment I sent to myself from my old address. I restarted and poof it was gone!

Your data is stored in this location.

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities

However, don't bank on your Time Machine copy being stable.

Using Time Machine to backup Entourage basics:

It's advised by the developers not to let Time Machine backup your Entourage
database. If the database is copied while being used, the backup could be
corrupt. You can set the Time Machine to exclude the Microsoft User Data
folder and create an iCal event to copy it over at night while not in use so
you get one backup daily in Time Machine.

I suggest that if your copy will open that you export your data and create a
new Identity.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

This Entourage seems rather fragile. I did not open or tinker with any files
in the program. My Entourage froze after I opened a doc attachment I sent to
myself from my old address. I restarted and poof it was gone!

This is not typical behavior. It could be a font issue. I would try dragging
the attachment to the desktop THEN try to open.
