loss of folder information

Whenever I inadvertently delete Entourage from the dock, I restore it from my applications folder. However when I reopen Entourage I am missing blocks of messages from various folders such as Sent Items etc. Can I recover these and can I stop this from happening? Thanks

Whether Entourage is in the Dock or not should not affect your account.
Entourage stores all your info in this location.

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/Main
Identity/database

Yes it is a POP account

If you select View Unread only or Flagged only under View in the Menu bar,
the messages can seem to disappear. Check under View to see what is
selected.

I have looked and all folders are and always have been not selected as Flagged and Unread. This has happened to me twice now where the exact dates missing are the exact same dates between restores. It must be the cause but I don't understand how this can happen. Are the missing emails stored elsewhere?

All emails are stored in the database. Whether Entourage is in the Dock or
not should not have any effect on the emails stored in the database.

Have you considered switching from POP to IMAP? All messages are stored on
the server with an IMAP account.
