Loss of functions in copied spreadsheet

J

JBenton

I moved a spreadsheet to a new computer (XP system),
still using Office 2000. Formulas such as =(TIME
(0,RANDBETWEEN(0,11)*55,0))+(TIME(7,0,0)) work fine on
the original (Win98)and on my laptop (also Win 98), but
not on the new machine. Simple functions work on the XP
system. What component am I missing? I
did enable the "accept labels in formulas" option.

Thanks, JB

If the ATP (Analysis ToolPak is not installed on the new machine you would
get a name error.
It comes with excel/office so do tools>add-ins and select Analysis Toolpak,
either it is installed but just not checked and it will work immediately or
it will ask for the excel/office cd and install from there..

Randbetween is one from the Analysis tookpack (me thinks) -- make sure you
install the analysis toolpak on the Excel in the Xp machine.
