Loss of MS Document Imaging .mdi print driver when MS Office SP1 installed

Am running Windows XP Pro with MS Office 2003 Pro
I frequently use MS Document Imaging printer driver to print a page
from various programs into .mdi format. Then later cut/paste from
Document Imaging to an office document etc.
When I installed the new MS Office SP1, my Document Imaging printer
driver disappeared, and so did MS Document Imaging from the MS Office
Tools menu.
I tried using the MS Office repair utility from the original Office
2003 CD, but it did not restore MS Document Imaging.
Thanks for any suggestions!
