Loss of Outlook and companion programs

Good Evening

I have inherited a computer, foolishly - with limited
knowledge - I attempted to create 'space/room' whatever.
In the process, I lost Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher,
Excel etc, etc, etc.

When I tried to put the info back using the disks that
came with the computer but now the hard drive isn't
reading the CD Writer.

In a panic, I tried everything including Regedit (not to
smart for a novice!) - now my System32 folder is totally
overloaded and I don't know what goes where.

As I am not able to work I cannot afford to take this
thing into a shop and have it set right.

Is it possible to have the codes/dlls/system names,
whatever I need to get this thing up and running.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

You're going to have to replace the cdrom (they often are on sale in the us
for as little as $10) and reinstall the software. if it's screwed up too
bad, you'll need to reinstall windows.

Thank you so much for the advice. I suppose I deserve
this for mucking about with things I know nothing of.
Well, at least I have my sense of humor and a few strands
of hair left.

Thanks again.
