Lost a folder

I made quite a few changes in my Notebook -- added sections etc. Put a great
deal of data in one section and referred to him since then. Now today I open
it and there is no sign of that section or the changes I made. Thoughts?
When I use Open Backup, the system stops responding and freezes up. I did
"DETECT AND REPAIR" and all went well. HELP?

Did you, by any chance, close the section accidentally? If you go to File |
Open Section can you find the section?
