Lost access to contacts and messages

Because of an XP problem, I recently had to install a new
hard disk. Although Office (including) Outlook remains
installed on my old drive in the computer, I have been
unable to access my old contact list and cannot open
Outlook from that drive. I cannot locate the contact
list to move it to the new drive. Is there a way to do
this. Please help.
