Lost access to table except through form

I rarely try to setup a DB in Access 2003, but did so and set the startup
property to load an entry form I designed. I did not want anyone to be able
to change the form so I removed all the menus from the form. So now when I
open the DB it loads the form with no menus and there is no way to get back
to the table view and design view. I feel really stupid for doing this and
wonder if there is any way to get back to designing!!!

You can do this two ways. Either hold the shift key down while opening the
database (not from a desktop shortcut, but from an already started instance
of access). This will bypass the startup routine. Or press the f11 key from
an already started copy of the db. This will open the database window which
will allow you to navigate to the form and open it in design view. Don't
feel too bad. I've locked myself out before too.

By the way, your users can do the same thing. If you search for things like
"disable bypass key" you'll find advice on how to keep them from doing it.
Also, it sounds like maybe you haven't split your database into a frontend
and backend yet. If there is more than one concurrent user in a network
environment you really need to attend to this. Otherwise, you will probably
end up with a corrupt database that you may not be able to open.

Thanks for the tips. I will continue the work on this DB to get it secure
and stable.
