Lost Attachments

I am using Outlook 2003 over WIN XP PRO SP2. Recipients of my email
intermittently do not receive the word and excel attachments I send. However,
once they reply with the typical "Attachment?" email, I can then reply and
again paperclip in the attachment and they get it.

I've also noticed that not all attachments are always stripped. For example,
if I send 3 attachments, only the third one gets stripped; the other two make
it fine. I've tried turning off all of my security, spam, and virus
protections (Microsoft & McAfee).

Any ideas would be appreciated.

format to Plain Text or HTML.

Tried it with Plain Text and Outlook as your e-mail editor already?
Could you also post your method of instering attachments? There are many
many ways to do this. ;-)

I will surely test with Plain Text once I know it's not some other (dumb)
thing - thanx. I use the paperclip (Insert File) button on the toobar to
insert the attachment(s).

Is it possible that your recipients have a cap on the allowable attachments
size?

K. - no, it happens even with small files (like 25K). I've switched to Plain
Text to see if that helps, but that should not have to be the cure. Any other
ideas?

We verified that the most basic mails work. From there we increase the
complexity of the message format and see where things go wrong.
Use combinations of starting Outlook in safe mode, message format and using
Word or Outlook as the editor.

If you are in a network environment sharing the same mail server see if
others experience the same issue.
