lost author names in track changes

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

When I use "Track Changes" my name appears at the top of the balloons until I "Save" and then my name changes to, simply, "Author." The same happens to everyone else that I share the file with. What's wrong? What can I do?

It sounds like Word | Preferences | Security "remove personal
information from this file on save" is activated. Turn it off and see
what happens. However, I don't think it will retroactively label your
old changes.
