Lost by glossy paper

I checked the lexmark website but nothing I could find. Anyone has any idea
why printing on glossy paper (on the glossy side) will cause fading of
colours mid-way??

This is a printer issue. What model Lexmark? Have you performed a cleaning? Does this
happen in all your applications?

Running out of ink occurs to me. Have you checked the Cartridge Maintenance
tab on your Lexmark printer Properties sheet?

Hi, Mary, It is an Z705. I tried everything: cleaning, test page, alignment,
refilling the ink. I didn't try it with other application because I have the
file under Word. Are you suggesting that the problem might not exist if I
use other application like photoshop or whatever photo application out there?

Hi, IanRoy,

I did, but the problem I find with that function is that, they dont' really
detect how much ink is in the cartridge. Because I refill the cartridge
myself, so when I put back the cartridge myself, sometimes I have to choose
yes, it's new (after I fill up) and no (I just want to check and see if the
cartridge is clogged..). So I am totally lost now about how much ink is
actually inside the cartridge.

Also, do you have experience with ink flood after a refill...?

HI, Gyorgy,

That's okay, thanks for replying anyway. By the way, do you have any insight
on why the instruction on the glossy paper package says "the rougher side
should be printed on"?

Umm, so the ink can have something to "stick to"? I've been an advocate
of reading the instructions at least once when attemping something new.

But that's werid then, should the "glossy" side of the "glossy paper" be
printed on?? I thought that must be a mistake..or I am the one who's mistaken?
