lost calendar and emails in sent items

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out. In outlook, where
does it keep all the basic settings that it needs to get started. I have been
using outlook for sending/receiving my emails and have contacts and calendar
in there.

My question is that would it be overwritten when something happens to it.
What i mean by something is that i did something to it that it required me to
set up my email account again. I lost all the emails in the sent items under
Personal Folder and the calendar as well. I didn't uninstall or re-install
it. Would it be possible to restore everything as i had before?

Is your mail store on Exchange or a personal folder? If a personal folder,
search your hard drive for file(s) with the .pst extension (hidden files).
Open each one in Outlook using File->Open->Personal folders file. Does your
information show up there?

Sounds to me like you did more than create a new account - that you also
created a new mail profile or new PST. Describe exactly what "I did
something to it" was and perhaps we can figure it out.
