Lost CD Home and Student 2007

I recently bought the Office Home and Student 2007 for my Son, along with a
laptop to take to University this September.
He managed to break his IE such that he couldn't logon to the Internet and I
reinstalled his laptop via safeboot.
However, he has managed to lose the CD for Office Home and Student 2007.
I still have the box and the product key, but no CD.
Is he able to download the product and use the key to reinstall this ?
Any help much appreciated.
