lost contact info,how do i retrieve

was synching from my palm ,1/2 of my contacts went for
some unknown reason to the deleted items folder, when I
tried to move it to the contact folder it was accidently
erased from the deleted items folder.
is there any way I can still retrieve the data back to my
contact folder?
