lost contacts after xp install

Upgraded my op system to xp from 2000. Used to log on as
administrator but that disappeared. In xp no
administrator comes up on log in screen but it is there
under folder view. Bottom line....xp is installed and
working but my previous outlook contacts are not showing
up when I launch outlook. I have tried importing a pst
but the only one found during a search is empty.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Your old PST should still be on your hard drive, it probably just got moved.
Enable search and display of hidden files and search again.
Then open it in Outlook. Don't import it.
