lost contacts data base

we upgraded Win XP home to Win XP Pro...this disabled MS
Office XP so we reinstalled Office XP...in doing this we
lost our outlook contact data base..it was replaced by an
empty one...Is there any way I can recover this??? please
can anyone help?

Assuming you are not running against Exchange Server, all your data is in an
Outlook Data File. Search for *.pst. Open each in Outlook until you find
your data. PST files are hidden.

Thanks for the reply Russ...
When I reinstalled office XP I am afraid it overwrote
the "contacts" file. Is it possible that that file could
be hidden?

Ok Thanks Russ....that gives me some peace of mind...now
the problem is finding the data...I hope that it is
hidden and that I will be able to find it..THANKS AGAIN!
