Lost contacts when upgrade to Office 2003?

I recently upgraded to Office 2003. I was using Outlook Express for my
e-mail and contact accounts, and Outlook for my tasks. However, neither
seems to have converted to the new version. There are folders from Express
that show what look like e-mails, but when I open them, the only information
is the contact name. The contacts from Outlook converted, but I had
additional ones in Express that did not. (And now, of course, I need one of
those email addresses)

Also, my archived tasks are showing up (again, as emails), but my current
tasks aren't there.

Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated!

OK, but none of the listed files have my old data, although I know I archived
it regularly....

Then you need to clarify what you are missing that actually was stored in an
Outlook data file before. You describe a rather confusing array of
information that was strewn between Outlook and Outlook Express. Upgrading
Outlook will only preserve Outlook data.
