lost data when importing a .pst file

I imported a .pst file from a co-worker to expand my
Contacts list. When complete, I lost several of my
original Contacts. Can I retrieve somehow?

Importing should not affect your existing Contacts. Are you sure you just
didn't end up with more than one Contacts Folder? Look in your Folder Tree
(View > Folder List) to see if you might have more than one.
We have no way to tell you how to retrieve Contacts when we don't know what
exactly you did nor what folders are in your profile.

Perhaps. The original poster was pretty obtuse. It's not clear whether the
poster was referring to the originating or destination file for the import.
It still shouldn't have resulted in the loss of any Contacts from any file.

Russ, you are the expert here, but when you import, don't you get the option
creating or deleting dupes? Maybe something like that happened?
