Lost Document

I have some how lost my word document. i dont really know
how.

I went to go back in to it and it came up asking if i
wanted to revert to the saved document. i clicked yes and
a blank screen came up. i then closed that and have gone
back into it a number of times since and still comes up
blank.

Is there anywhere on the hard drvie that it may be stored
like in a temp file of some sort. is there ne way of
getting back the 3000 word essay?

Hi David,

Word 97?

You apparently had saved a blank page with your document name when you
started. Just before you were asked about reverting, you tried to open your
document when it was already open (but possibly not on the screen). You said
you wanted to revert and so you got your original blank page.
